This version was defined in September of 2006 as twin formats with BD-RE Version 3, not only for broadcast recording of High Definition TV, but also for PC recording/playback. The special features of this version are adoption of BDMV, also usage of UDF2.5 as file system for PC friendly, and Camcorder is newly added as one of BD product categories. The blank media (disc) is completely compatible with BD-R Version 1. BD-R Version 2 Part 3 is the same book as BD-RE Version 3 Part 3.
