Blu-ray Disc Rewritable (RE) Format Version 1

This version was defined in 2002, mainly for broadcast recording of High Definition TV. The special features of this version are uniquely defined BDFS (BD File System) and BDCP as content protection. Media of this version is not compatible with version 2 and 3. Also, this version cannot be manufactured the BD products for PC Drives and PC utility softwares.
