RE4 is a Multi Layered Rewritable in BDAV with the speed of 2x, capable of 100 GB. For those who is planning to manufacture these discs or Drive, which is capable to read these new formatted discs, parts/chips, Application Software manufacturers, and those who uses these discs and/drive and wish to use BDXL ™ Logo
What are the business categories of R3 and RE4?

What is the License Fee for these New Format?
$3,750 for one business category and $7,500 for multiple business categories per Format License for the 5-year Agreement.
Can we record Movie Contents on these new format discs?
No.
Can we use BD Logo, if we burn the content on these new discs?
No. You are only allow to use the original Logo marked by the Disc manufacturer.
What is BDXL ™ Logo? How do we qualify to use this Logo?
BDXL ™ BDXL (tm) Logo can be used if you become a FLLA licensee for either R3 Format and/or RE4 Format. If the products pass the verification, BDXL (tm) Logo can be used for the product within the Format category.
Question: What is BD-R Professional Media ?
Professional Media is intended to be used mainly for data archiving purpose and can be played back only by Professional Media Drive. Professional Media category is newly added to R-3 FLLA in 2014. The data recording and playback layers have been set on both sides of this BD-R Media of which total capacity is 200GB. This media is enclosed in the private cartridge specially designed for BD-R Professional Media.
